Featured on the cover of Forbes Africa magazine before the age of 30 and named ‘Entrepreneur for the World 2014’ by the World Entrepreneurship Forum, Rapelang is an internationally lauded technology entrepreneur.
She is the founder and CEO of Rekindle Learning, a dynamic learning tech company that provides educational and performance support tools that improve learning efficiency and reduce time to competency.
Rapelang’s curious mind has always questioned how the world works, even as a youngster she believed that there had to be a better, simpler and more effective ways to do things – and there is: technology! As a speaker, she takes this message across the globe and her innovative thinking has contributed to many changes in the way organisations adapt and thrive in the new world of work.
Rapelang has been a technology entrepreneur for over 10 years with a Bachelor of Business Science (Computer Science) degree from the University of Cape Town. She founded learning technology company Rekindle Learning to challenge the existing norms within (largely ineffective) organisational and academic learning. Rekindle Learning’s work explores the role of technology and the latest learning pedagogies to ensure that learning actually happens and knowledge is built up; significantly increasing recall, building capabilities, reducing time to competency and creating value within organisations. As Chairperson of the Standard Chartered Botswana Education Trust, she is pioneering the role of private sector in creating sustainable social impact in education and skills development.
“… an inspiring story of wisdom and insight… If Rapelang ran for President I would vote for her!” – Saki Missaikos, MD of Internet Solutions (Dimension Data Company), March 2016.
