BACKGROUND

Lennox Wasara’s voice is synonymous with insightful business reporting and engaging
sports bulletins. This 27-year-old award-winning broadcaster juggles his on-air roles with
hosting “The LeadUP Podcast,” a University of Pretoria alumni show where he’s interviewed
Oscar winners, executives, and everyone in between.

Lennox’s academic rigor fuels his passion for the stories he tells. Earning his Master’s in
Entrepreneurship at 22 paved the way for his deep understanding of topics like township
economies, student entrepreneurship, and social impact. As a PhD candidate he has
special interest in drivers of social innovation. Beyond the microphone, he brings his
expertise to conferences and events as a skilled and experienced MC and moderator.

OTHER MILESTONE ACHIEVEMENTS

His talent hasn’t gone unnoticed. Since 2018, Lennox has been nominated for the SA Radio
Awards four times. He’s also collaborated with leading South African business and sports
brands. Previously, worked on 947’s “Anele and The Club” breakfast show as their resident
financial and economics expert. Now, as a freelance sports anchor for Primedia, his voice
rings out on weekends across 702, 94.7, CapeTalk, and KFM.
