Lucy’s contribution in strategic communications can be defined as agile and shapeshifting

Keynote

Having spent 12+ years building strategic knowledge over a range of specialist communications areas, Lucy’s contribution in strategic communications can be defined as agile and shapeshifting. She has provided strategic communication advice to a dynamic portfolio of JSE and FTSE 100 companies and their executive leadership teams on a range of communication areas that include strategic brand positioning, stakeholder relations and crisis management.

One of her most significant achievements include her work in the financial communications space where she worked on signature cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions such as the Walmart-Massmart deal in 2011 as well the $16.2bn Absa-Barclays deal in 2012 where she and her team gave strategic deal communication advice to Absa’s board and executive team. Known for her work in cultivating positive and healthier socio-economic narratives about Africa, At Entelo, Lucy has used powerful communication methodology to draw CEOs (JSE-Listed, Multinationals and SMMEs), organizations, and impact-institutions to catalytic solutions for sustainable value creation.

Using an ’empathy perspective’ in her advisory model, Lucy to date, has facilitated noteworthy socioeconomic breakthroughs in the areas of Just Energy Transition, affirmative financial action for women in Africa via the work she did with the African Development Bank, narrative design for democratizing access to clean, potable water by mining and rural communities, gender equity and diversity and inclusion amongst other achievements. Her personal passion for catalytic philanthropy is most realised when she is serving as a board member for an organization that invests in identity coaching for youth – Hero Kidz.

Lucy is a dedicated wife and mother of two, she loves poetry, solocations and has recently added Taekwondo to her list of previously impossible things.
